Dr Matthew Kim

MBBS MMed (Clin Epi) DCH

Dr Matthew is a GP Registrar who graduated from Western Sydney University and subsequently worked at Prince of Wales Hospital with numerous departments, and the Canterbury Hospital Emergency Department.

Being a GP registrar means he is a fully qualified doctor who has now chosen to specialise in General Practice, and is undergoing rigorous post-graduate training and examinations set under the standards of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners to qualify for Fellowship (Specialist GP).

He has worked as a GP Registrar in Auburn prior to coming to North Ryde, and during this time he has gained invaluable experience through caring for a wide variety of patients, and after hours shifts.

He loves the holistic nature of General Practice, and has a keen interest in preventative health care, chronic diseases and family medicine. He has a strong commitment to broadening his knowledge base and has completed a Masters of Clinical Epidemiology with the University of Sydney, and a Diploma of Child Health.

Teaching has also been an area of interest, and he has been a Conjoint Associate Lecturer with the University of New South Wales during his time at Prince of Wales Hospital.

He has a friendly enthusiastic attitude and likes to go the extra mile for his patients.

He will be part of our practice team from August 2019 to February 2020.
