The GPs at North Ryde Medical Centre have a mixed-billing policy.

  • Bulk-billing is available for Children <16yrs age and Commonwealth Pensioner/DVA/Health Card Card holders for appointments Mon-Fri 8am-4:45pm (gap fees apply at other times: Mon-Fri 5-6pm, and Saturday/Sunday).

  • Nurse appointments are Bulk-billed (eg. Flu vax).

  • Gap fees apply for all other non-concession patients.

Patient Feedback Survey 2026

Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent feedback survey. The results will help the doctors and staff to provide an improved service to our patient community! We’ve listened to your feedback. As a result, we have taken the following actions in order to make improvements to patient care where you feel it would be most useful. What you told us Changes we’re making Difficult to see doctor of choice for on the day appointments. Creating more availability for doctors to have specific appointment slots available for that day Waiting times can be long Customise more appointments that require longer appointment times eg. mental health care plans, 6 week vaccinations. We are calling patients who have not arrived by 5 mins after their appointment time to try improve on-time check-in. We have made a note on the booking platform that standard appointments are up to 15mins, and to call the practice if a longer appointment is required for complex/multiple issues Treatment by staff Further training/education of reception staff to improve service and attentiveness

New Physiotherapist – Aptus Physiotherapy

We’re excited to welcome Aptus Physiotherapy who are now seeing patients at North Ryde Medical Centre!   https://www.aptusphysiotherapy.com.au/     The principal physiotherapist Thomas Wang has a passion for helping people regain mobility, overcome pain, and achieve goals through tailored management plans that encompass exercise prescription and hands-on therapy. Thomas is an experienced clinician who has worked primarily in private practices, specialising in musculoskeletal injuries sustained from sports, everyday life, work, and motor vehicle accidents. His expertise lies in the treatment and management of pain and injuries affecting the shoulder, neck, lower back, and knee. He is also keen on treating osteoarthritis, Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) disorders, and headaches. His approach emphasises functional rehabilitation—moving beyond symptom relief to ensure patients can return to their daily activities and achieve long-term physical goals effectively. Experience In the world of elite sporting, Thomas has been the team Physiotherapist for the NPL1 Blacktown Spartans and Western Sydney Wanderers, and has experience working with NBL1 Teams. During his career, he has also completed Practicums and Work in Sydney’s major metropolitan hospitals such as Westmead & Bankstown Hospital where he gained experience in Pre/Post Surgical rehab, aged care, and fracture services. His mission as a Physiotherapist is to provide personal care that goes beyond treating the symptoms to address the root cause and promote lasting recovery. Outside of Work When he’s not working, Thomas likes to stay active by going on runs and playing basketball. He is also a keen fan of motorsports and enjoys appreciating coffee.
